The Main objects of the Indian Medicos Organisation are:

  1. To strengthen the nation by health promotion.
  2. To make general health awareness across the country especially in rural, remote, difficult and unaccessible areas.
  3. To provide prompt, effective, free/cost effective treatment to the needy peoples of the country.
  4. To promote the medical and allied sciences in India
  5. To foster and preserve the unity and aim of purpose of the medical profession as a whole
  6. To voice its opinion and to acquaint the Government and other relevant bodies with the policies and attitudes of the profession
  7. To support a higher standard of medical ethics and conduct
  8. To enlighten and direct public opinion on problems of health in India; and to publish papers, journals and other materials in furtherance of these objectives.
  9. The IMO represents, supports and negotiates on behalf of almost all doctors and medical students. We are member-run and led, fighting for the best terms and conditions as well as lobbying and campaigning on the issues impacting the medical profession.
  10. To promote and advance medical and allied sciences in all their different branches and to promote the improvement of public heal and medical education in India.
  11. To maintain the honour and dignity and to uphold the interest of the medical profession and to promote co-operation amongst the members thereof;
  12. To work for the abolition of compartmentalism in medical education, medical services and registration in the country and thus to achieve equality among all members of the profession.

For the attainment and furtherance of these objects, the Organisation may-

  1. Hold periodical meetings and conferences of the members of the Organisation and the medical profession in general.

  2. Arrange from time to time congresses, conferences, lectures, discussions and demonstrations on any aspect of the medical and allied sciences.

  3. Publish and circulate journal, which shall be the official organ of the Organisation of a character specially adapted to the needs of the medical profession in India and which shall undertake publicity and propaganda work of the Association through its columns and publish other literature in accordance with the objects of the Association.

  4. Maintain a Library and an Organisation Officea at central, state and  district level.

  5. Publish from time to time transactions and other papers embodying medical researches conducted by the members or under the auspices of the Organisation.

  6. Encourage research in medical and allied sciences with grants out of the funds of the Organisation, by the establishment of scholarships, prizes or rewards and in such other manner as may from time to time be determined upon by the Organisation.

  7. Conduct educational campaign amongst the people of India in the matter of public health and sanitation by cooperating, whenever necessary, with different public bodies working within the same object.

  8. Organise medical corps for providing medical relief during epidemics and in times of emergency.

  9. To provide national level health assistence for common public especially in pandemic era.

  10. Consider and express its views on all questions and the laws of India or proposed legislation affecting public health, the medical profession and medical education and initiate or watch over or take such steps and adopt such measures from time to time regarding the same as may be deemed expedient or necessary.

  11. Purchase, take lease of or otherwise acquire, hold, manage, let, sell, exchange, mortgage or otherwise dispose of movable or immovable property of every description and all rights or privileges necessary or convenient for the purpose of the Organisation and in particular any land, building, furniture, household or other effects, utensils, books, newspapers, periodicals, instruments, fittings, appliances, apparatus, conveyance and accommodation as and when deemed necessary or desirable in the interest of the Organisation, sell, demise let, hire out, mortgage, transfer or otherwise dispose of the same.

  12. Erect, maintain, improve or alter and keep in repair any buildings for purpose of the Organisation.

  13. Borrow or raise money in such manner as the Organisation may think fit and collect subscriptions and donations for the purpose of the Organisation.

  14. Invest any money of the Organisation not immediately required for any of its objects in such manner as may from time to time be determined by the Organisation.

  15. Assist, subscribe to or co-operate or affiliate or be affiliated to or amalgamate with any other public body whether incorporated registered or not, and having altogether or in part objects similar to those of the Organisation.

  16. Create or assist in creating Branches for any of the purposes aforesaid.

  17. Do all such other things as are cognate to the objects of the Organisation or are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects

  18. To provide health services with free distribution of medicines, creating health awareness amongst the various backward societies of North Eastern states especialy in rural and remote areas. 

  19. To acquaint the participating doctors with the varied rich culture of local community which is nothing but the part of the North Eastern Cultural heritage.

  20. As part of the health promotion and general awareness, we are promoting the health awareness message through social media posts – instagram, facebook and twitter and other social media. 

  21.  To encourage doctors and medical students to submit the health awareness message along with the reference. this information helps the public to increase health awareness.

  22. To provide sound education to the children of all communities irrespective of their race, religions, cast or creed in general and to prepare them to become mature and responsible citizens of the country through the all-round physical intellectual, academic, mental and spiritual development based on values
    derived from the life.

  23. To start establish, run take over, or manage and maintain schools, with an object secondary senior secondary, and higher education to children by seeking recognition and affiliation from the education departments and concerned Government authorities.

  24. To open, found, establish, promote, set up, run, maintain, assist, finance, support and/or aid and help in the setting up the different kinds of schools, colleges, lecture halls and other establishments or institutions for advancement of education and of knowledge in arts, science, literature, humanities and all the useful subjects in all their manifestations.

  25. To arrange and manage the training institutions in Typing, Short hand, Computer information technology, Fine Arts, Craft, Music, Painting, Modeling, Yoga, Physical Education and in their professional training subjects.

  26. To promote literacy, cultural and other social activities of Awareness Programs, Adult Education Classes, Lectures, Essay Competitions Exhibitions, Symposium, Cultural programs, Press Conference and Seminars.

  27. To provide food, clothing, medical aid stationery, transportations, libraries, laboratories, reading room, hostels playground swimming pool and other required facilities to the students and also to the members of the trust.

  28. To establish and manage various kinds of Educational, Vocational, Industrial, Agricultural, Research and framing Institutions to introduce and develop the professional courses and also to arrange/provide all kinds of educational facilities to the students, scholars, trainees and to other needy candidates.

  29. To establish, and to the develop such out of school activity centers for the children of the under-privilege class/section of trust where they could have the benefits and joy of participating in sports, games artistic activities, like clay and wood work, music, dance, painting and also organize educational trips.

  30. To institute scholarships and help to deserving students and to institute and award prizes, in recognition of excellence in academic performance of students.

  31. To meet traveling, boarding and lodging expenses for the students going abroad for higher education and also help them in all possible ways.

  32. To promote fine art, crafts among the public including establishment and maintenance of Shilpa Shikshalayas, Kala Kendras (relating to music, dance & modeling) etc.

  33. To follow the ideology of great men and National Leaders who scarified their lives for the causes of depressed, deprived, SC & STs, and other community/ backward classes, minority groups and for other needy people.

  34. To provide free concessional education to the poor, helpless and needy children/students.

  35. To engage, employ or hire appropriate staff, workers, legal or other professionals, attorneys, managers and Agents for the Work and furtherance of the aims and objects of the trust and to pay their wages, salaries stipends or fees.

  36. To receive financial assistance (in the shape of loan or otherwise) from Government, Non-Government organizations, banks or any other legal entity or individual on reasonable terms and conditions.

  37. To borrow or receive money (with interest or with- out interest) and upon such terms and condition as are approved by the Government body of the trust.

  38. To accept donations, grants, presents and other offerings (in the shape of movable or immovable properties) and the same shall be utilized by the promotion of aims and objects of the Trust.

  39. To raise funds and resource for the attainment of any of the aims and objects of the trust by all lawful means including investment of the funds, donation, fund raising campaigns, cultural programs, sale of literature, property development, rent from the building etc.

  40. To conduct research in education and other discipline with different subjects relating to education.

  41. To arrange and organize social, cultural, educational and child welfare programs/activities from time to time.

  42. To publish books, charts, illustrations, journals, magazine, periodicals, news papers and other publications on different subjects and in different languages.

  43. To conduct coaching classes for preparation of the various competitive examinations.

  44. To make correspondences in lawful manner to solve the problems of the trust like recognition of the schools/ institutions engaged by the above trust.

  45. To erect, construct, after maintain, sell/lease, mortgage, transfer improve, manage and/or develop all or any part of the property/ building of the trust for attainment of Aims and objects of the Trust.

  46. To purchase/acquired land for different establishments and to construct building/Mandir thereon for the cause of trust.

  47. To purchase construct the building, hostels, houses or structures and/or modify, renovate the building or alter such existing buildings as may be necessary for the purpose of the trust and to maintain such building in good condition.

  48. To purchase or hire permanently or temporarily and vehicle or vehicles for transportations of the students and those buildings in good conditions.

  49. To do or perform any other act which may be incidental or completive to the attainment of any of the object of the above trust.

  50. To arrange and organize Durga Pooja, Religions Functions, Bhajan Kirtan etc. from time to time.

  51. To approach concerned authorities regarding the solution of problems of the trust or the problems of the Indian Community General Public.

  52. To provide social-economic help/assistance to poor and needy people.

  53. To provide free medical aid and start Charitable Hospital / Dispensary for the General Welfare of General public.

  54. To arrange activities for the safety of wild animals, and to make improvement in safety of the wild animals and to show mercy towards them.

  55. To provide electricity and water facilities in locality.

  56. To make arrange for the roads in the rural area of the locality and to approach the concerned authorities to regularize the colonies and to make the in the locality.
